Stem Seals
Rod seals are used to ensure tightness in hydraulic cylinders. They are housed in the guide plug and achieve sealing by acting against the piston rod, preventing fluid leakage from the inside to the outside of the cylinder.
Stem seals are mainly made of Trelleborg’s PTFE-based Turcon® or Zurcon® polyurethane material. Manufactured specifically for hydraulic applications, these compounds provide exceptional wear resistance and outstanding extrusion properties. Compatible with virtually all media, they offer unmatched performance at extreme temperatures.
